    A tourist visa allows citizens of these countries to visit Pakistan for tourism purposes.

    Type of request

    Online visa applications are available for two types of visas:
    The first time (new): You can apply for a new visa if you do not have a valid Pakistani visa.
    Extension: You can apply for a visa extension if you have a valid Pakistani visa and reside in Pakistan.

    Eligibility

    A visa for this purpose can be obtained by citizens of the countries listed here.
    The following website will help you determine whether you qualify for a tourist visa on arrival:

    Required Documents

    • Photograph
    • Passport
    • Hotel Reservation Details
    • Duration and validity
    • Single entry for a short period of less than 3 months (first entry).
    • Duration up to and over 6 months (Extension).
    • Citizens of these countries may be eligible for a double-entry tourist visa.
    • There is no limit to how long a tourist visa can be extended.

    In case of an extension, please ensure that you have a valid Pakistani visa and also reside in Pakistan.
    Delay of treatment
    • Visa issuance is the prerogative of the Government of Pakistan.
    • For entries up to 3 months, in the working days: 7-10 days
    • The extension period is 7-10 days (working days) for extensions up to 6 months
    • The extension (more than 6 months): 4 weeks (working days)
    • 37 days (working days - first entry/extension - for Afghan passport holders)
    Please note: If the application is returned for consideration to the applicant, the defined processing time will apply again (the processing time will start again from the date of resubmission of the application).
    The application will be canceled if the applicant does not resubmit the application within seven (7) days from the date the application is sent for review.

    Families with Pakistani origin can use the Family Visit Visa to visit and stay with their family members for up to five years.

    Type of request

    Eligibility

    The spouses of foreign nationals of Pakistani origin are also eligible.
    You may be eligible for a Pakistani Origin Card (POC) if you or your parent is of Pakistani descent. In this case, you may not need a visa. Your eligibility can be checked by clicking here.

    Duration and validity

    First time
    Visa valid for up to 5 years with up to 1 year stay on each entry
    Extension
    It is possible to extend the visa for up to 5 years, with a maximum stay of 1 year on each entry
    In case of an extension, please ensure that you have a valid Pakistani visa and also reside in Pakistan.

    Appointments

    To make it easier and save time for the public, the Pakistan High Commission in London and its consulates in Birmingham, Manchester, and Bradford have launched an online appointment management system for NADRA cards, machine-readable passports (MRP), and document attestation/legalization.
    Now, applicants have the flexibility to book their preferred date and time based on their convenience without having to send an email or phone call to the High Commission or higher consulates. Applicants also have the option to reschedule or cancel their appointments on the system.
